TopCashback
TCB is super easy to use and gives very good cashback rates.
TopCashback (or TCB) claims to have the highest paying UK cashback site. A personal favourite and go to, TCB is definitely a site that all should join.
Remember to use this link to sign up to get yourself a £5 bonus.
On this page we’ll show you all you need to know about this website and how you yourself can start earning money on each of your online purchases.
+ Step by step guide on using tcb
- Look for the website you want to shop at by using the search bar or by browsing through each relevant category to see which retailers offer cashback (e.g click on Fashion if looking to buy some shoes somewhere that offers cashback).
- On the retailer page you will see the cashback that you get according to what kind of purchase you make (sometimes it’s a flat rate or £ amount). For example here if you were to spend £100 on a restaurant Groupon deal that would count as local and travel and you would get £8.50 cashback. If you were to spend £100 on toiletries then this would count as goods and you would get £1.70 cashback.
- Click on get cashback now and a new tab will open for you taking you straight to the given site. Just as the screen shows, all you now need to do is to do your shop as you normally would.
- Checkout as normal. Be sure to buy your things and complete the transaction in the same session and page as the one opened by TopCashback when you clicked get cashback, do not close the page and later re-open it as this will disrupt the tracking and your cashback won’t track.
- Just wait for that cashback to come through! If you’ve done everything right then it will track in a couple of hours. The status of your cashback will go from Pending to Confirmed to Payable where you will then be able to cash it out via a variety of methods from Paypal, bank transfer or a variety of gift cards.
+ Cashback on the go
For those who prefer to shop from their phones, worry not, as TopCashback has an app for both Android and iOS.
Get the app for Android on Google Play here
Get the app for iOS on the Apple App Store here
TCB also has a feature that allows you to connect your credit or debit card so that you can even receive cashback when shopping in store. Once you have made a TCB account you can check OnCard to connect your card and to see current offers.
+ account type
With TCB you can opt for either a Classic or Plus account which offers extra benefits at the cost of £5 a year.
Is Plus worth it? Well it really depends on your usage. For the more lightweight users I would recommend sticking to Classic, the added cashback top up for Plus (10% vs 1%) for non exclusive rates for heavier users can easily offset the £5 yearly fee. For more information on both account types click here.
Note that when first signing up you will automatically be signed up for a free month of Plus which will auto renew unless cancelled. To change your account type just go to My Profile > Membership Details or simply click here.
+ Cashing out
Once your cashback has been tracked and confirmed it will become payable. You can choose to cash out in plain old cash via bank transfer or Paypal at its face value or take the amount in the form of a gift card from various retailers (e.g Primark, Amazon, Uber and many more) and have a bonus applied (e.g £100 cash or £105 Primark gift card). Bonus varies according to the gift card selected.
+ Cashback on more than just your shopping
There are so many other things on TCB that you can get rewarded for besides your usual online purchases. You can get cashback when going through the site to get your:
Utilities
Insurance
Savings and ISAs
Checking your credit rating
Even funeral planning
If you are doing any sort of online transaction, always make sure to check and see if you can get cashback on it first.
+ Things to note
Things to note:
. The time it takes for cashback to become payable varies from retailer to retailer. Check the given retailer page for more details.
. Read the terms and conditions that are easily found at the bottom of each retailer page as it will include info on scenarios where you might make yourself ineligible e.g sometimes the use of vouchers will negate your cashback.
. If your cashback tracks incorrectly or not at all then simply file a claim which won’t take much time at all right here.*
. Cashback is not always the deciding factor in where an item may be the best value, do some simple calculations on whether it would be cheaper to buy it from somewhere that may sell it for a lower price but offer no cashback vs a place that may offer cashback but sells at a higher price.
