Using a cashback card can net you cashback on your purchases and can even be used in conjunction with cashback sites for even greater returns.

Cashback cards will pay you in either cash or points for spending on them. Points can be redeemed for a number of rewards and cash can go towards your debit payments for the card.

On this page we will look at some of the best cashback cards available right now.

+ Mastercard vs Amex

There are two main card types offering cashback. American Express (Amex) offers the best cashback rates but is not accepted everywhere (although more and more vendors are starting to accept it), whilst MasterCard cards tend to offer lower levels of reward but have the advantage of being accepted almost everywhere. It is recommended to have an Amex to use as your main cashback card and a MasterCard cashback card for places that do not accept Amex, this is to maximise overall cashback.

If you are a low spender or don't want to deal with multiple cards then I suggest just doing for a Mastercard cashback card.
